Voi Technology

We are aiming to create a system of electrically powered scooters around urban centers to provide an affordable, sustainable, and exhilarating way to commute while helping people to reduce their carbon footprint.

Founded in Summer 2018, VOI is a Scandinavian urban mobility company offering electric scooter sharing in partnership with cities and local communities. We believe e-scooters can play a central role in changing how people move in our cities in the future. And we want to make sure that the transformation happens the right way - through real innovative technology, open and transparent dialogue with cities and Governments and by adapting our product to local needs. Jump on a scooter anytime and ride wherever in the city - completely emission free.

NC Company Overview

VOI Technology is a company that manages electronic scooter and bike services in major cities around Europe. Its aim is to make mobility in urban areas simple and accessible, by providing scooters and bikes that can be picked up and used on the go, and then paid for by a subscription service. Using electronic scooters is a great alternative to using public transport or driving for trips within a city, giving an option that is faster and can cover more distance than walking, but without creating additional traffic or pollution, and at less expense than using trains and buses. VOI schemes in European cities are helping to ease congestion, create a greener way of getting around, and helping people get more out of the cities they live in. VOI Technology, based in Stockholm, Sweden, was founded in 2018 by Douglas Stark, Filip Lindvall, and Fredrik Hjelm, and has quickly spread from its home city to urban areas all over Europe. The company works in partnership with communities to launch its bike and scooter schemes, and to onboard new users through the app. As of June 2019, VOI Technology operates in cities in Spain, Germany, Austria, France, Norway, Denmark, and Finland as well as Sweden, and it is adding new cities all the time.
